I don't know what will happen to that poor puppy if they don't get here in time to rescue him.
The dog was discovered lying helpless on the roadside, a massive tumor protruding from his abdomen. Because of his helplessness, we could not just leave him there.
Volunteers of the non-profit "Helen Summerfield-Brown" dedicate their time and energy to finding homes for all strays and abandoned animals. This poor dog was discovered in terrible condition, so he was taken to the vet and given emergency care.
He had stopped eating, a sure sign that the tumor was killing him, and was in a severe situation.
Once Midnight was securely on veterinary soil, testing including blood work, X-rays, and an ultrasound were initiated. Hookworms, anemia, and malnourishment are just a few of the problems he faces on a daily basis.
And since his blood platelet count was so low, surgical removal of the tumor was out of the question; he simply would not have survived.
With his tumor growing, time is of the essence. For surgical planning purposes, they did a battery of blood tests.
Everybody loves Midnight because he is a unique and wonderful young man.
A testicular tumor was successfully removed during Midnight's operation. It weighed in at a whopping 4.85 pounds!
That was weighing down his thin little body so much, and I'm relieved it's gone. We are very pleased with how far Midnight has come since her surgery. Dr. Said the Vet
We love this young man very much and want to assist him in any way we can.
Midnight’s health is improving, and he will be available for adoption in a few days.
For everyone who have helped get Midnight this far, we are eternally grateful. A sincere thank you!
