The rescue crew responded to a call reporting a puppy stuck in the pavement and found both the puppies and the mother dog within.

We had to remove the slab of stone with this puppy still attached

we had to be careful not to pull her at all

We had broken the tar free from the ground

We saw a worried face peeing for under the metal sheets

Mom dog

Their mother had more puppies inside covered in tar

We hurried them to our hospital

The tar slab was so huge

They were dehydrated and exhausted

We gave them pain medicine

We massaged them with cooking oil to soften them tar

Removing the tar would take many hours

This poor little girl was so weary

Finally we could pull off huge slabs

Now we could rinse them in fresh water

Now they were ready to join their mommy and siblings

We spayed their mommy

Fortunately, the mother dog and puppies were spared. We are very appreciative to the rescue crew and their hard effort.
