As an animal lover, I can never comprehend how some people can treat their dogs like garbage.
Of course, each situation is unique. Some people may have a strong bond with their animals but find it difficult to care for them; nonetheless, this is not an excuse to abandon your pet in the middle of nowhere.
A unfortunate dog was abandoned in a church parking lot in Abilene, Texas, along with her nine newborn puppies.
The poor new canine mother, who just gave birth, and her nine puppies were abandoned without food or water.
A picture of the 5-year-old boxer mix mother and her puppies was uploaded on social media, and soon generous people began to express interest in adopting the adorable family.
"Dumped at a church parking lot in Abilene. Every Rescue is overflowing with people. Foster was required right away. Please. Situation developing," the post stated.
When Paw Angel Animal Rescue observed what was happening, they realized they had to assist the kind mother and her young children.
Misty Boerger said, "I saw the photo and it absolutely broke my heart. I phoned Angel and we went and rescued the dogs.
Driving to the mother and her puppies, MIsty Boerger and Angel Urban placed them in the backseat of the vehicle.
Misty wrote, "I just don't understand how someone could do that, leaving mama and two-week-old infants.
The adorable dog mother, subsequently known as Dory, required emergency medical attention.
Angel said, "We discovered numerous open, draining sores on her."
One of her puppies had to be put to sleep after the vet found a tumor in his throat.
Misty chose to keep the puppies in for two weeks after realizing they need care 24 hours a day.
"Mom and the puppies are now secure. They will reside with me for two weeks before moving to a long-term foster home.
